Adam Kemp, MD, specializes in interventional pain medicine and anesthesiology at Pain Specialists of Oregon located in Eugene, Oregon. He is passionate about understanding each patient individually to guide treatment according to their values and goals.
Dr. Kemp was born in Portland, Oregon, and raised in the Pacific Northwest until his father, a pilot in the United States Air Force, was transferred to the Florida Panhandle when he was a teenager. Dr. Kemp completed his education and medical training in the Southeast before returning to Oregon.
After earning his undergraduate degree in finance at the University of Tampa, he worked for several years in corporate banking before several experiences led him to pursue a career in medicine.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, with several awards for excellence in academic performance and teaching. Dr. Kemp completed his anesthesiology residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Kemp completed his pain medicine fellowship at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
Following training, he wanted to return to the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Kemp chose to join Pain Specialists of Oregon because of the reputation, character, and culture that the partners have built over more than two decades serving the community.
In addition to being certified in Oregon, Dr. Kemp is also licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina.
